Tip Top Poultry is a family owned and operated business based in Marietta, Georgia. For fifty years they’ve believed in building long term personal relationships with each customer, be they retail, food service, or export. We talked with Ken Davis, the LaserVault administrator for Tip Top Poultry, about how our imaging system has helped them to continue to deliver personal attention while addressing the needs of their expanding business.

“Our real intent with getting an imaging system was to get everything centralized” explains Ken. “We have two sites. Our first site is located in Marietta and our second site is located in Rockmore. All of our documents are stored in Marietta. If the people out in Rockmore needed a file they would have to call us here in Marietta, and get somebody to look up the information they needed. That was a real hassle for everybody. In order to pull up a file a person would have to physically get up and go look for the file and back then it could sometimes take maybe even a day for someone to pull up the right information.”

The Paper Trail Problem
“The big problem was availability – getting a document quickly when it was needed. Before Image EveryWhere, the paper trail had got to the point where it was really a hassle to track down one piece of paper. People were constantly having to hunt for a document which might have started out in one file, and then three months later there it was in a different one. What we decided was that the paper trail from one plant to the other didn’t have to happen. Image EveryWhere opens it up for everyone to get to information they need without a big hassle.”
“We use Image EveryWhere for a lot of different things, such as manifests, bills of lading, freight bills, stuff like that. Accounts Payable uses the barcode feature on invoices that are coming in so that they will be indexed automatically. We take the information from the AS/400 when it is entered, and then we attach a scanned image to it at a later date.”

“I’ve been extremely pleased with Tech Support. They have done everything they have been asked to do. They’ll come into our system and fix anything that needs to be fixed. They’ve also written a few things for us. They've tweaked the Imaging EveryWhere system to work better with our system.
